Introduction

Welcome to the user manual for the nDeco Dive Planner application. This guide will help you understand how to use the app effectively for your diving needs.

Using the App

Getting Started

Safety First

Always verify dive plans with approved dive tables or computers. This app is for educational purposes only.

Launching the App

1. Open the nDeco app on your device.
2. Read and agree to the app terms.
3. You will be greeted with the main interface, which includes options for setting dive parameters and viewing the dive profile.

Setting Dive Parameters

1. Select Measurement System: Use the toggle to switch between metric (meters) and imperial (feet) units.
2. Choose Depth and Time for First Segment:
   • Select the depth from the available options.
   • Set the bottom time for the first segment.
3. Add a Second Segment (Optional):
   • Toggle the option to add a second segment.
   • Choose the depth and time for the second segment if needed.

Viewing the Dive Profile

The dive profile graph will update automatically based on the parameters you set. The graph includes:

• Descent: Shown from the surface to the selected depth.
• Bottom Time: Horizontal line at the selected depth.
• Ascent: Line from the bottom to the safety stop and then to the surface.
• Safety Stop: Horizontal line at the safety stop depth.

Understanding Dive Information

• Descent Time: Time taken to reach the selected depth.
• Bottom Time: Time spent at the selected depth.
• Ascent Time: Time taken to ascend from the bottom to the surface, including the safety stop.
• Total Dive Time: Sum of descent, bottom, ascent, and safety stop times.
• Minimum Surface Time: Recommended time to spend on the surface before the next dive.
• No fly time: Minimum time to board a plane from the end of your last dive.

Tips for Safe Diving

• Always dive with a buddy.
• Always plan your dive and dive your plan.
• Ensure you have adequate training and experience for the planned dive depth and conditions.
• Monitor your air supply and dive computer regularly.
• Never exceed your planned depth and time limits.
• Perform a safety stop on every dive.

Emergency Procedures

Review emergency procedures with your dive buddy before each dive. Keep emergency contact numbers readily available.

Troubleshooting

• Graph Not Updating: Ensure all parameters are set correctly. Try toggling the measurement system to refresh the view.
• Incorrect Calculations: Double-check the selected depths and times. Ensure the app is set to the correct measurement system.
